Packed itinerary for council officials in New York

Council officials from twenty-two local authorities have represented their city and counties in New York during celebrations for St. Patrick’s Day. A packed itinerary was planned for the Chief Executives, Mayors and elected members in conjunction with programmes and launches with Tourism Ireland, the IDA, Enterprise Ireland and Local Enterprise Offices.  

Tourism Ireland met with various council representatives at their offices in New York as part of their ongoing programmes.

The Local Authority delegation joined An Taoiseach Enda Kenny TD at the formal opening of the Ireland West International Trade Centre in Rhode Island on Tuesday ahead of St. Patrick’s Day.  

Local Authority officials focused on promoting and marketing their city and counties in conjunction with the IDA and Enterprise Ireland.

Council officials attended the St. Patrick’s Day parade in New York before returning back to Ireland today.
